Mix it up for fall

The last few chilly days have found me adding layers and finding new ways to move my wardrobe into another cooler season.
Here are some ideas for you to do the same.

A colourful shawl or infinity scarf over a plain long sleeve top, and a pair of leggings under a favorite skirt.

A jacket over a sleeveless summer dress is an instant change from summer to fall.

Or for a more casual comfortable look try a hoodie over a summer dress to add another warm layer.

A long sleeve shirt tied or belted over a summer dress is a cool way to keep the chill at bay as the weather cools down.

A soft cardigan can be dressed up with a colourful scarf or belt. Add a funky bag for fun.

A soft shawl can be used as a scarf or as a shawl to dress up a plain top and pants or skirt.

Or a shawl can add another shot of colour to brighten up those gray days of late fall.

This is the perfect season to layer up, and try new combinations before the cold weather gets really serious.

The end of summer

It seems like another summer has come to an end. Some of you may be saying what summer? Though this last week it seems like the summer weather has put in a brief appearance.
It was great to see all our old acquaintances again, and to make a lot of new ones.
Thanks to you all for making our summer, and for those of you with cottages in the area hopefully we'll continue to see you this fall.

Steve and I are of to start our winter travels in a few weeks. We'll keep you posted along the way.
Thanks again from us all at Bwana Johns for another great summer.
