Having fun

A few days ago Ellen and her mum Pamela were in Bwana Johns. They seemed to have so much fun trying on things, and they both looked amazing in what they put on.

Bwana Johns is for sale

After almost 30 years of travel, fun and meeting great people, we are ready to move on to other projects.
So Bwana Johns is up for sale.

Bwana Johns consists of the Haliburton retail store that we rent, and the Minden headquarters that houses a retail outlet and our warehouse, in a building that we own. Also many of you will be familiar with our on line store.

 

We are willing to sell the business outlets only or to also include the Minden building.

The building in Minden  has a lovely 3 bedroom apartment above it.This is on about 1/2 acre of land with lots of room for expansion, or to use for recreation or as I do for gardening.

 

 

 

If anyone is interested in the business with the building we are willing to finance.

Bwana Johns has given us 30 years of great travelling as we escape the winter, and a great opportunity to explore our artistic urges as we design clothes and handicrafts for the stores. Though the business can be run easily with less travel and input in the designing.

We are willing to share our knowledge and contacts in the many countries we do business in.
This is a great opportunity for some one to become involved in an exciting life style.

We are into the 2nd week of summer now, and we are getting an idea of what's hot this season.
It seems like comfort and looking good with a maybe a jolt of summer colour are the key factors.

 There is something about these flare dresses that make them a favorite every summer. It could be that they are a nice loose dress that looks good on every one, or maybe it is the fabulous range of colours they come in.

 These flare tank tops have a similar feel. Lots of colour in a comfortable easy to wear style.

For a short summer dress or a great bathing suit cover up these dresses work a treat. Flattering and non clinging in a easy to wear knit, and in a great range of colours. Wear them over leggings when it cools down.

New this year; these back packs have been very popular. They unfold from a compact heart shape into a small backpack that holds lots with enough zippered compartments to keep you organised.

 If you are looking for an easy to wear good looking top this light knit flared top fits the bill, and comes in a wide range of colours.

And for those cool summer evening this hoodie is comfortable and stylin'. Great for the cottage or sitting around the camp fire.

 Another easy to wear top or bathing suit cover up is this poncho top. Looks good over a pair of legging also.

These wide leg flare pants in rayon definitely have the swish factor. They feel really nice to wear. Easy to pair with a tank top or tee for a comfy fashionable look.

New Arrivals

Steve and I arrived back in Canada a few days ago. Our arrival coincided with a fierce thunder storm, so our first few hours were a little wet and cold.
But we are back on track now enjoying the nice weather we've had since.
We found some great stuff just before leaving Thailand that we threw in our suitcase and now have in the store.

These cute little dresses with the side frills are already proving popular.

I love the look of the tie dye tunic and dress. The V sided top is perfect worn over leggings.

 

 

I already have one of these swishy rayon skirts in my wardrobe. Very cute topped with a plain Tee shirt.

 

 

We also now carry these prayer flags like the ones they have in Nepal in the temples.

We're looking forward to spending the next few months here in the Highlands and look forward to seeing you all again this summer.
